Single-page apps (SPAs): These are web apps that work inside a browser and don’t need to reload a page every time you use it to get new data. Here are a few examples of what you might create with Node.js. Node.js is primarily used for building fast and scalable web applications. Microsoft, npm, & Google strongly recommend using a NVM to install Node.js and npm. It’s not recommend using a Node installer, since the Node installation process installs npm in a directory with local permissions and can cause permissions errors when you run npm packages globally. You must install Node.js and the npm using either a NVM or a Node installer. JavaScript is the only language that Node.js supports natively, but many compile-to-JS languages are available. As a result, Node.js applications can be written in CoffeeScript, Dart, TypeScript, ClojureScript and others. Both, Node.js and Web Browser (like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge etc) runs on the Google’s V8 JavaScript engine. Node.js is back-end JavaScript runtime environment, similarly Web Browser is frontend JavaScript runtime environment.
